As our Permitting Coordinator, you’ll play a vital role in securing the permits needed to build high-quality homes across Virginia. Your ability to follow established procedures, track details meticulously, and communicate effectively with county offices will directly contribute to our success.
What You’ll Do
In this role, your expertise will ensure a seamless permitting process as you:
- Apply for and track permits, including zoning, health, land disturbance, VDOT, and building permits, ensuring accuracy in applications and supporting documents prior to submitting
- Manage deadlines to align with each unit’s construction phase.
- Communicate with counties, VDOT, and internal teams to resolve permit-related issues.
- Submit and retrieve permit packages via in-person county visits, mailing, or online portals.
- Maintain detailed records in ThreadKore (our ERP system) and permitting spreadsheets.
- Provide weekly permitting updates to customers after contract signing.
- Research and document county-specific permitting requirements, fees, and processes.
