Job Description:
We are seeking a motivated and experienced Operations Manager to lead and oversee daily operations in our landscape, hardscape, mowing, and construction business. This individual will play a key role in managing projects, ensuring efficiency, and maintaining the highest quality of service to our clients. The successful candidate will have experience in both fieldwork and management, a strong knowledge of landscape and hardscape installation, and the ability to supervise multiple projects while maintaining a hands-on approach.
Key Responsibilities:
- Project Management: Oversee and manage daily landscape, hardscape, and construction operations, ensuring all projects are completed on time, within budget, and to a high standard.
- Team Leadership: Supervise and direct a team of field workers, including landscapers, laborers, and construction crew members. Foster a positive, productive, and safe work environment.
- Scheduling and Coordination: Develop project schedules, coordinate job site logistics, and ensure that resources, including labor and materials, are allocated efficiently.
- Client Relations: Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, addressing concerns, providing updates, and ensuring customer satisfaction throughout the project lifecycle.
- Quality Control: Maintain high standards of workmanship by conducting regular site inspections and ensuring compliance with company policies, safety regulations, and industry standards.
- Budget Management: Monitor project budgets and expenses, working closely with senior management to ensure financial targets are met.
- Vendor Management: Work with suppliers and subcontractors to secure necessary materials and services for projects, negotiating favorable terms when possible.
- Problem Solving: Address and resolve any operational issues or unexpected project challenges in a timely and efficient manner.
Qualifications:
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in landscape, hardscape, and/or construction industry, with at least 3 years in a management or supervisory role.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Landscape Architecture, or a related field (preferred but not required).
Skills:
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Proficiency in project management tools and software
- Knowledge of landscape and hardscape design and installation practices
- Ability to read blueprints, designs, and specifications
- Budgeting and cost management
- Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail
- Certifications: OSHA 10 and/or 30 certification or similar (preferred but not required).
- Licensing: Valid driver’s license and ability to operate company vehicles.
