Position Overview:Join the vibrant team at Rock The Dock, a premier dueling piano bar located on the Crystal Coast in Morehead City. As a Bartender, you’ll be responsible for delivering exceptional guest experiences by crafting high-quality beverages in a lively, music-infused environment. You will collaborate closely with our entertainment and service teams to maintain the dynamic atmosphere that defines our venue.

Key Responsibilities:

• Beverage Preparation: Craft and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks following standardized recipes to ensure consistency and quality with every pour.
• Guest Interaction: Greet guests warmly, take orders efficiently, and engage in friendly conversation to enhance the overall guest experience.
• Operational Efficiency: Maintain a clean and organized bar area, monitor inventory, and restock supplies as necessary to ensure seamless service.
• Team Collaboration: Work effectively with fellow bartenders, servers, and other team members to synchronize beverage service, food service, and live performances, contributing to the venue's energetic vibe.
• Participation: Attend weekly team meetings and training events to ensure consistent service protocols and clear communication with ownership and the team.
• Compliance: Follow all legal and company policies regarding alcohol service, including verifying legal drinking age and ensuring responsible alcohol consumption.
• Additional Responsibilities: Operate the cash register, manage cash and credit card transactions, and provide change when necessary. Present menus, take orders, and serve food to guests at the bar. Perform opening and closing duties as directed.
• Physical Requirements: Stand for long periods, walk, bend, kneel, stoop, and lift up to 50 pounds. Must be able to handle both indoor and outdoor conditions. Vision abilities include close, distance, and peripheral vision, as well as depth perception.
• Collaboration with Kitchen Staff: Coordinate food service with the kitchen staff when necessary, ensuring smooth operation.

Qualifications:

• 2 years of bartending experience, preferably in a high-energy environment.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced setting.
• Ability to stand for extended periods, lift up to 50 pounds, and work in varying conditions.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Strong organizational, presentation, and problem-solving skills.
• Experience with POS systems and cash handling, ensuring accuracy with transactions and tabs.
• Knowledge of food safety practices to comply with health regulations.
• Basic math skills for cash transactions and inventory management.
• Familiarity with fine dining standards is a plus.
• Strong sales skills to promote menu items and enhance customer experience.
• Excellent time management to prioritize tasks and maintain service quality during peak hours.
