Job Summary
Assist with the direct services to clients in need and outreach the program to develop new clients, new contacts, including providing community informational sessions, outreach, application service, referral to community services for immigrant families and advocacy.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Related duties may be assigned.
- Research community services for immigrant families for Welcome Center
- Screen for eligibility to connect clients to community services.
- Maintain and develop a network with other community services.
- Document client interaction utilizing electronic management systems
- Attend programmatic meetings and outreach events.
- Outreach and informational sessions for Welcome Center.
- Attend trainings regarding Immigration Law.
- Act as a resource for agencies, schools, councils, etc. for Welcome Center with information related to Immigration and community services.
- Assist with crisis intervention and daily needs of Welcome Center participants.
- Keep informed of local immigrant community needs and provide referral resources for services needed.
- Show flexibility and understanding in dealing with persons from diverse, social, economic, and educational backgrounds.
- Exhibit strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build positive relationships (including with outside agencies).
- Able to multi-task.
- Conduct workshops.
- Establish and maintain effective relationships with persons contacted in the course of work using tact and courtesy.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Regular attendance is expected.

Minimum Qualifications
High School Diploma required. Some College Experience is preferred.
