Rockaway Home Care is seeking a dedicated and experienced PCA Training Program Instructor to join our team. The ideal candidate will be a registered nurse licensed in the state of New York, and have a background in teaching or working in home health care. This role involves instructing Personal Care Aides (PCA) in both one-day and two-week training classes, conducting student interviews, grading tests, and evaluating students' skills.
Must have home care experience
You must be available to work weekends. If you speak Spanish, that is a plus.

Key Responsibilities:
- Instruct PCA training classes in English or Spanish (one-day classes or two-week sessions)
- Conduct interviews with prospective students to assess their suitability for the program
- Grade tests and assignments to evaluate students' understanding and progress
- Provide practical skill evaluations to ensure students meet required competencies
- Maintain accurate records of student performance and attendance
- Offer support and guidance to students throughout their training
- Registered Nurse (RN) licensed in the state of New York
- Experience teaching home health or personal care aides, or working as a nurse or aide in a home health agency
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to create a supportive and engaging learning environment
- Commitment to high standards of education and student success
- Previous experience as a PCA or HHA (home health aide) instructor
- Familiarity with New York State home health care regulations and standards
