Emergency Services Clinician
RACS is currently seeking a motivated, qualified individual to work in our coverage area of Rockbridge and Bath County, and the Cities of Lexington and Buena Vista. RACS will provide training, supervision, and education opportunities specific to the position.

Position Overview :
To provide crisis intervention services for individuals and families experiencing mental health and substance abuse crises. Essential functions of the position include completing pre-admission screening, facilitate hospital admissions and discharges, provide crisis intervention and crisis counseling as needed, provide motivational therapy or DBT modalities to individuals and families in crisis, attend commitment hearings and assist with hospital discharge plans with clients. This position is Monday-Friday 3 : 00pm-12 : 00am with opportunities for on-call shifts, and clinical supervision toward licensure.
Qualifications :
- Master's Degree in human services related field, mental health, and / or substance abuse experience, and licensed / licensed eligible in VA as a LPC, LCSW, or LCP
- The ability to function in a high paced and time pressured environment is necessary.
- Excellent communication skills required.
- Working Knowledge of the DSM, mental health and substance use assessments, treatment, crisis assessment and intervention strategies for clients of all ages
- Must be certified or eligible to be certified as a pre-screener by the CSB and Virginia DBHDS.
