Rockbridge Area Health Center (RAHC) of Lexington, VA is looking to hire a passionate Behavioral Health Counselor (LCSW, LMFT, LPC or PsyD) to join our patient-centered team.
This full-time position earns a minimum annual salary of $68,000 commensurate with experience and is eligible to receive a sign-on bonus of $5,000. All Rockbridge Area Health Center sites are National Health Service Corp (NHSC) sites, whereby the approved clinician could receive student loan repayment in return for a time-limited work commitment.
You will be part of our integrated primary and behavioral health care team responsible for providing evidence-based counseling for our patients. Your day will consist of patient screening, assessment, treatment planning, on-going counseling, and crisis intervention for patients.

Qualifications
- Master’s degree in counseling or social work with a current LCSW, LMFT, LPC license in the Commonwealth of Virginia, or a PhD/PsyD Licensed in Clinical Psychology in the Commonwealth of Virginia.
- Cannot be sanctioned under Medicaid or Medicare.
- Must meet RAHC privileging requirements as required by Federal Tort Claims Act (FTCA).
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification with hands on practicum required.
- Direct experience in substance use disorder treatment (preferred).
- Valid driver’s license preferred.
Work Schedule for our Behavioral Health Counselors
This full-time position for our local FQHC works Monday – Friday.
