21st Century Community Learning Center Grant Coordinator
JOB DESCRIPTION:
To oversee the day-to-day operation of the 21st Century Community Learning Centers program. To plan and implement all the program components as delineated in the grant application; to service as a liaison between the regular school day staff, and after-school staff, students, parents, and community partners; to supervise program staff; to oversee the budget for all program components; to compile and manage student data as related to all program; to coordinate the evaluation of grant-sponsored activities; to provide feedback to stakeholders regarding progress toward meeting mutually agreed upon goals and objectives.

QUALIFICATIONS:
An undergraduate degree in education, counseling, social work, psychology, or a related field, preferred. Strong organizational skills and the ability to work independently as well as on teams. Enthusiasm, energy, initiative, and flexibility. Highest levels of integrity and confidentiality.
DUTIES AND
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Oversees and supervises all grant-related programs and activities.Compiles data and documentation used to select participating students.Conducts orientation meetings for students and their families.Monitors program attendance and participation of students and parents.Monitors the academic progress of students participating in the grant program.Contacts parents of participating students on a regular basis.Maintains interagency relationships and coordination with community-based partners.Schedules monthly shareholder meetings of all school and community-based
partners.Communicates with regular school day teachers about assignments for participating students.Organizes materials used by after-school teachers to assist students with assignments.Plans and coordinates field trips and other transportation needs.Prepares payroll for grant-sponsored employees.Coordinates the purchase of materials and supplies.Submits the program evaluation, financial reports, and other reports required by the Virginia Department of Education.Provides data-based feedback on the progress of students and families participating in grant-sponsored activities.
REQUIRED
EXPERIENCE:
Managing and evaluating multi-year grant projects or educational programs, preferred. Working with student-age populations and their families, preferred. Managing budgets of multi-year grant projects or educational programs, preferred. Compiling data from multiple sources. Using various educational data sources like report cards, attendance patterns, referral patterns, standardized test scores, and SOL data. Supervising staff. Working with project stakeholders of diverse backgrounds and experiences

$36,000 for 210 days
