Job Summary
This position monitors activities and assists the public at the splash parks. Ensuring all patrons and visitors of Rockdale County are safe. Performs related duties. Work is assigned by the Aquatics Supervisor in terms of goals and objectives.
Essential Functions

Responsible for ensuring a clean, safe environment and safe water chemistry levels for the health and safety of patrons.
Collect admission fees.
Render CPR / First in case of emergency
Monitors and inspects the facility and equipment and submits work order requests as needed.
Ensures the enforcement of all facility rules by the patrons and responds quickly and effectively to emergencies.
Responds to requests and inquiries from the public and submits them to the Aquatic Supervisor.
Uses recreation software to prepare various records and reports to include incident reports, chemical logs, patron attendance, and supply inventory.
Performs a high level of customer service and ensures a positive customer experiences.
Maintains the highest degree of confidentiality in student, staff, and management matters.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Knowledge of the organization of the department and of related departments and agencies.
Knowledge of CPR and other first aid procedures and techniques.
Knowledge of hazards and safety precautions required to perform the essential work functions.
Knowledge of water / pool chemicals, water safety, and pump room.
Knowledge of computers and job-related software programs.
Skilled in resolving problems or situations requiring the exercise of good judgment.
Skilled in interpreting policies.
Ability to observe possible safety hazards and react / correct accordingly.
Ability to clean and maintain assigned park facilities.
Ability to operate assigned splash pad / pump equipment.
Ability to lift 50 pounds, unassisted.
Ability to stand, walk, and see.
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with co-workers, staff, other county employees, parents, children, volunteers, and the general public.
Ability to communicate clearly and effectively, both orally and in writing.
Sensory ability as necessary to officiate athletic events and to monitor other events for safety and conformance to rules and regulations.
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with the general public, co-workers, elected and appointed officials, and members of diverse cultural and linguistic backgrounds.
Working Conditions
Work is typically performed in both standard office and outdoor environments, with potential exposure to adverse weather conditions.
Minimum Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent
- One (1) year experience working in recreation, natatorium, or park capacity.
- OR have a combination of education, training, and work experience.
- Valid Georgia Driver's License.
