Position
As part of the Rockefeller Global Family Office (RGFO) division, the Investment Due Diligence team is responsible for sourcing, analyzing, and monitoring of investment managers implementing strategies across a variety of asset classes and investment vehicles including separately managed accounts, exchange traded funds, mutual funds, interval funds, and private vehicles.
The investment due diligence analyst will perform all aspects of manager research, including conducting qualitative and quantitative analysis and developing insights and guidance to support the firm’s private advisors and clients. The individual will focus on managers and strategies investing in public markets opportunities spanning US, international and emerging markets equities, global fixed income, and publicly traded real assets.
Responsibilities
The anticipated base salary range for this role is $90,000 to $110,000. Base salary for the role will depend on several factors, including a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies, and experience, and may fall outside of the range shown. In addition, this role may be eligible for a discretionary bonus. Responsibilities
- Conduct investment due diligence on various investment strategies with a primary focus on long-only equity and fixed income portfolios.
- Perform initial and ongoing fundamental investment due diligence incorporating qualitative assessments and quantitative analysis. Hold manager meetings, review relevant materials, and assess portfolio holdings characteristics, attribution reports and performance track records.
- Implement a primarily quantitative analysis of mutual funds and exchange traded funds.
- Maintain coverage of investment strategies through ongoing monitoring reviews, conforming to established policies and procedures.
- Present diligence findings and recommendations to investment committees, managed solutions and distribution colleagues, private advisors and clients.
- Partner with RGFO’s CIO Office and identify high conviction managers and strategies to provide timely implementation ideas fulfilling the firm’s macro-economic views.
- Participate in a variety of other firm activities, calls, presentations and projects as needed.
- Maintain updated knowledge on industry and asset class trends, market events, and other developments relevant to asset managers, high net worth and institutional clients.
- Bachelor’s degree is required and a concentration in economics, business, finance or other technical field is preferred.
- 2-3 years of experience in the financial services industry.
- Experience in investment due diligence is preferred but not required.
- CFA or CAIA designation is preferred but not required.
- FINRA Series 7 license is required or willingness to obtain within 120 days of hire.
- Strong analytical and technical skills.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Prompt follow-up and responsiveness.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, Power Point.
- Proficiency with Morningstar Direct preferred.
