Position:
This role is part of the Investment Reporting team, collaborating with the Head of Investment Reporting and the Investment Reporting teams. The Product Specialist role is a combination of implementation and field support. This position will be tasked to work with cross-functional stakeholders including technology and project management, both internally and externally, to install a new portfolio analytics platform. They will also be charged with designing the operational workflow and support models for the new offering. The Product Specialist role will ultimately evolve into a support role and will serve as the primary contact for training, inquiries, and platform enhancements.
The ideal candidate has prior experience in product management or quantitative roles and has supported other portfolio analytic solutions. This candidate should be extremely detail oriented, strategic and communicative and should be able to traverse internal and external stakeholders alike and problem-solve with speed and precision. They should work well both as individuals and as part of a team.
Responsibilities:
Supporting key initiatives related to the new portfolio analytics offering, including vendor onboarding, platform setup and data connectivity
Collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders to define platform and offering objectives, coordinating requirements, features, UI / UX design and testing
Creating and evolving operational workflows and process documentation, ensuring continuous improvement
Developing training to educate private advisors and their teams on analysis, proposals, asset allocation, stress testing scenarios and projections
Testing the accuracy of the models, analysis and reporting generated from the utility
Developing and maintaining support metrics to analyze incident trends, measure vendor responsiveness and identify opportunities for improvement
Serving as the liaison between the field and vendor support to resolve data and analysis related incidents
Tracking, managing and resolving field inquiries and including support quality reviews and follow-ups on non-responsive incidents
Assisting with ad hoc projects related to process and platform improvements, and change initiatives
Developing and delivering platform and enhancement related communications
Qualifications:
BA/BS degree in Finance, Mathematics, Accounting, Economics, Statistics, Data Analytics or related field; non-finance majors with relevant experience are welcome to apply
Prior experience with Aladdin, Venn, FactSet SPAR, Zephyr or similar portfolio analytic software preferred
Prior experience with asset allocation analysis, portfolio composition, performance and risk analysis, and stress testing preferred
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to work cross-functionally across teams
Skills:
Familiarity with performance measurement, portfolio composition, client reporting, asset schema, benchmarks, and market data
General knowledge of investments and / or portfolio reporting and related terminology
Robust mathematical skills
Ability to work well independently and as part of a team
High attention to detail, ensuring accuracy in data and reporting
Managing data efficiently, ensuring all metrics and reports are accurate
Strong interpersonal skills, communicating clearly with internal and external teams
Ability to assess complex data and operational processes to identify trends and insights
Top notch organizational skills, effectively managing multiple tasks, deadlines and priorities
