We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Cybersecurity Analyst to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for safeguarding our organization's digital infrastructure by identifying, mitigating, and responding to security threats. You will also play an active role in designing and implementing robust digital security systems, ensuring that our infrastructure is resilient against evolving cyber threats. Collaboration with IT and business teams will be key to maintaining compliance, monitoring vulnerabilities, and driving continuous improvement in our security posture.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Threat Detection and Prevention
- Monitor and analyze network activity for suspicious behavior or unauthorized access.
- Implement and manage intrusion detection systems (IDS) and intrusion prevention systems (IPS).
- Respond promptly to security incidents and mitigate risks.
Vulnerability Management
- Conduct regular vulnerability assessments and penetration testing.
- Identify and prioritize vulnerabilities, ensuring timely resolution.
- Collaborate with development and IT teams to patch or mitigate risks.
Security Policy and Compliance
- Develop, maintain, and enforce information security policies and procedures.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory frameworks (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA, NIST, ISO 27001).
- Participate in audits and assessments to identify gaps in security protocols.
Design and Implementation of Security Infrastructure
- Contribute to the design and deployment of secure network architecture, firewalls, and data protection solutions.
- Evaluate and recommend new security tools, technologies, and frameworks.
- Work with IT teams to integrate security into system and application development lifecycles.
Incident Response and Investigation
- Investigate security breaches and document findings.
- Provide recommendations to enhance future response measures.
- Maintain incident response plans and conduct regular drills.
Education and Awareness
- Conduct security awareness training for employees.
- Stay updated on the latest security trends, threats, and technologies.
- Advise stakeholders on cybersecurity best practices.
QUALIFICATIONS
Education
Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience).
Experience
2 years in a cybersecurity role or IT security position.
Certifications (preferred)
- CompTIA Security
- Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP)
- Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH)
- GIAC Security Essentials (GSEC)
KEY SKILLS
- Strong knowledge of network security, firewalls, VPNs, and encryption technologies.
- Familiarity with security tools like SIEM, endpoint protection, and forensic software.
- Proficient in scripting languages (e.g., Python, PowerShell) and understanding of operating systems (Linux, Windows).
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Strong communication skills for reporting and training purposes.
- Experience with designing and implementing security frameworks and architectures.
