What are the responsibilities and job description for the Material Handler position at Rocket EMS?
Job Responsibilities:
- Flexibly work overtime as needed, supporting various material handling functions including receiving, shipping, and stockroom management.
- Perform inventory cycle counts, including creation, updates, execution, and analysis to ensure accuracy.
- Execute material transactions using scanning functions, including pulling and issuing materials.
- Identify, resolve, and determine the root causes of inventory discrepancies and errors, implementing solutions to prevent recurrence.
- Conduct inventory transactions and reporting for customer-owned inventory when required.
- Collaborate effectively with departmental supervisors, support functions, buyers, program management, and other key stakeholders.
- Perform additional duties as assigned to support overall operations.
Education & Experience:
- High school diploma, vocational training, or equivalent is preferred.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in material handling or a related field, with a strong ability to learn and apply material transaction concepts.
Skills & Qualifications:
- Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Basic computer proficiency with the ability to quickly learn new software and programs.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Highly detail-oriented with the ability to focus on tasks and follow specific job instructions accurately.
- Self-motivated and capable of working independently while effectively interacting with program managers, buyers, and customers.
- Physically able to lift, push, and pull up to 50 lbs on a regular basis.
Job Type: Full-time
