Position Summary
The Maintenance Laborer is responsible for providing support in the maintenance of greenhouses, landscaping, construction and equipment at Rocket Farms Inc. The laborer works cross-functionally with skilled maintenance staff to ensure operations are running smoothly across the company.
Essential Functions
- Assists in maintaining the facility roads, drains, landscape maintenance shops, and other work areas.
- Provide daily maintenance support to assigned greenhouses by replacing and or repairing equipment, materials such as : glass planes, fiberglass, racks, vents, irrigation systems and other materials to ensure greenhouses are operating effectively.
- Provide support in the fabrication of greenhouse equipment and structures.
- Effectively use construction portable power tools such as saws, tamping rammer, jack hammer, electric drills, grinders, etc. and hand tools such as hammers, pliers, bolt cutters, chisels, etc. to complete assigned work.
- Supports production with packing, harvesting, seeding, spacing of crops when required.
- Work responsibly and safely at all times. Report unsafe or hazardous conditions immediately.
- Perform other related or assigned duties as assigned.

Physical Requirements
While performing the functions of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit; frequently required to talk or hear; and occasionally required to stand, walk, use hands to finger, handle or feel, reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must occasionally lift and or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities by this job include close distance and color vision.
