Retail Sales Associate

Rocket Fizz Lake Arrowhead is seeking a friendly and energetic Associate to join our team! As a Retail Associate, you'll assist customers with questions, complaints, and returns, provide exceptional service, process payments, and help arrange merchandise on shelves and in displays.

Rocket Fizz is a soda pop and candy shop known for its wide variety of unique, nostalgic, and hard-to-find treats. Offering thousands of soda flavors, including rare and quirky options, and an extensive selection of classic and international candies, Rocket Fizz provides a fun, vibrant shopping experience for all ages.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Customer Engagement: Greet and assist customers warmly, answer questions, and offer product recommendations.
• Sales Support: Advise customers on current promotions, sales, and discounts.
• Transaction Processing: Accurately handle payments, including cash and credit card transactions, and manage exchanges, returns, and refunds following company policies.
• Merchandising: Stock shelves and set up creative product displays to attract customers.
• Store Maintenance: Keep the store clean, organized, and welcoming by dusting, cleaning shelves, counters, floors, and restrooms.

REQUIRED SKILLS

• Basic Math: Comfortable with numbers to ensure accurate cash handling.
• Attention to Detail: Maintain neat displays and accurately process transactions.
• POS System Proficiency: Experience with cash registers and POS systems preferred.
• Strong Communication: Friendly, approachable, and professional when interacting with customers and team members.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

• Experience: Retail or customer service experience is a plus, but not required.
• Availability: Minimum of 2 days or 15 hours per week, including weekends and holidays.
• Physical Demands: Ability to stand for extended periods, lift up to 40 pounds, reach, bend, stoop, push/pull items, and work in a cold environment (walk-in refrigerator).
• *Must be located in the San Bernardino Mountains (Crestline, Lake Arrowhead, Running Springs, etc).

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

This role requires standing, lifting, bending, and using ladders. You may also work in colder environments, such as a walk-in refrigerator.
