Part Time Retail Key Holder

Rocket Fizz Soda Pop & Candy Shop in the Woodburn Premium Outlets is now hiring!  We are a unique retro soda pop & candy shop with over 500 flavors of micro brewed, pure cane sugar sodas in glass bottles plus more than 1,000 different kinds of packaged candies and over 90 unique flavors of salt water taffy. To be considered for employment, you must be able to work day and evening shifts, weekends, and have availability and flexibility to work around 16 hours per week (this position will primarily work closing shifts on weekdays). All employees will be expected to assist customers in making selections, stock and rotate inventory, help customers through the checkout process, and will be responsible for store maintenance & cleaning. Meeting and greeting customers in a friendly, helpful, and high energy manner is a must too! 

Job Summary:

The Part Time Retail Key Holder opens and/or closes the store and performs other duties in a retail setting. Their main duties include assisting customers when needed, making sure the store is fully stocked up, organized, neat and tidy and ensuring the store is opened/closed properly. Will also assist customers with purchasing merchandise.

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Greets and interacts with customers.
• Consults with customers to understand their needs and preferences related to merchandise.
• Explains merchandise, selecting and suggesting options suitable for the customer’s needs.
• Answers customer’s questions about merchandise.
• Assists customers with purchase decisions.
• Retrieves merchandise from sales floor, stock room, or other inventory locations.
• Collects payment using the store point of sale system.
• Processes returns and exchanges.
• Ensures front & back doors are unlocked by opening time and locked at closing time.
• In charge of retrieving the day’s money bag from safe and opens cash register/POS (point-of-sale system) prior to opening time.
• In charge of closing out cash register/POS and dropping the closing money bag in the drop-safe at end of shift.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

• Prior Key Holder experience preferred
• Must be willing to work alone for duration of shifts
• Must be at least 18 years of age to be considered for Key Holder roles

Education and Experience:

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• On-the-job training provided.

Physical Requirements:

• Prolonged periods of standing and walking throughout the retail space.
• Must be able and comfortable with climbing a ladder (for high up merch and cleaning hard to reach areas)
• Must be able to lift up to 40 pounds (soda cases are heavy!).

Salary : $16 - $17
