SCOPE OF ROLE:
The Winder 2nd Hand is responsible for assisting inside the clean room with building of finished goods (FGs) and maintaining the flow of product and raw materials in and out of the room. This position will also manage these materials to and from the clean room, including waste containers, cores, parent rolls, personal protective equipment, and FGs. They also are responsible for picking and staging the FG orders for shipment. Must follow all Safe Quality Food (SQF) guidelines and assist in keeping the room and equipment clean.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Ensuring all work is done safely
- Follow all SQF guidelines
- Inside the clean room
- Assist in building the pallet of FGs
- Labels are placed correctly on the rolls
- Rolls are bagged and/or boxed
- Handle the cores coming in and out
- Handle FGs going out into the gowning area
- Assisting with work order receipts
- Outside the clean room
- Clean room waste containers are emptied and returned for use
- FGs are taken from the gowning room and put away
- Parent rolls are brought to the clean room and unloaded from trucks
- Cores, slip sheets, pallets are brought to the clean room
- Gowning room is stocked and kept clean
- Picks interleave orders for shipment
- Certificate of Analysis are attached
- Orders are filled correctly
- Follows the production schedule
- Perform routine inspection of condition of the equipment
- Demonstrate the ability to identify nonconformance’s and notify the operators and/or the production supervisor of issues.
- Learn the Winder 1st Hand position
- Cleaning the room and equipment
- Performing any necessary re-work or correction of quality issues
- Performing tasks assigned to them by the Shift Lead

Qualifications
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (KSA’s):
- Work in a physical environment, lifting up to 50 pounds
- Must be dependable to show up every day, and on time
- Understand basic math concepts
- Competent with computers and can learn to operate simple applications
- Forklift experience a plus
- Paper experience a plus
- Converting equipment operations a plus
- Working with heavy equipment a plus
- General maintenance a plus
- Working overtime as necessary
- Working shifts other than day shift as necessary
Salary : $19 - $21
