Position Summary
Rocket Pharmaceuticals is offering a paid 10-week summer internship for university students interested in gaining hands-on experience in a fast-paced biotechnology environment. This internship provides an opportunity to work alongside experienced professionals dedicated to advancing curative gene therapies for patients with devastating diseases.
The Legal & Compliance Team is a strategic partner for Rocket’s day-to-day business and is passionate about supporting the growth of our company. We are looking for a Legal Intern who is interested in gaining experience at a high-growth biotechnology company and learning how to approach legal problem solving in a pragmatic way. The intern will work with the Legal team to make an impact across many business functions.
Responsibilities
• Reviewing and organizing a variety of contracts, including supply, clinical trial and vendor agreements• Reviewing NDAs • Researching a broad range of questions related to marketing, research and clinical activities, employment, data privacy, patent and trademark, and foreign law• Assisting with compliance initiatives and processes, including drafting policies and trainings, researching and summarizing novel issues, understanding regulations, guidances, and advisory opinions, and researching federal enforcement actions and settlements
Qualifications
• University student pursuing J.D. or LL.M degree from an A.B.A. accredited law school
• Authorized to work in the United States• Excellent verbal and written communication skills• Detail oriented and highly organized• Self-starter who can work in a fast-paced and cross-functional environment and meet deadlines
