Job Summary:
Rocket Science Ice Cream is looking for a motivated and responsible Shift Lead to join our team! As a Shift Lead, you will oversee daily operations, support team members, and ensure excellent customer service. You will play a key role in maintaining efficiency, enforcing policies, and leading by example. If you're a natural leader with a passion for customer service and teamwork, we want you on our team!
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and support team members during shifts to ensure smooth operations.
- Provide excellent customer service and handle escalated customer concerns.
- Oversee cash handling, register operations, and accurate transactions.
- Assist with training new team members and reinforcing company policies.
- Ensure all orders are prepared correctly and efficiently.
- Make, freeze, and serve ice cream, as well as prepare specialty drinks.
- Maintain a clean and sanitary work environment by following health and safety guidelines.
- Manage inventory, restock supplies, and report shortages to management.
- Delegate tasks effectively to maintain efficiency during peak hours.
- Open and close the store as needed, following proper procedures.
- Foster a positive and productive work environment.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in food service, retail, or customer service preferred.
- Leadership skills and ability to motivate a team.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and decision-making skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Basic math skills for handling cash and processing transactions.
- Dependable, punctual, and able to work independently.
Schedule & Availability:
- Must have flexible availability, including weekends and holidays.
- Ability to work opening or closing shifts as needed.
