Summary/Objective
The CNC Technician is responsible for the advanced operation of CNC machinery, troubleshooting, and performing modifications to machine operations as needed. This role requires proficiency in handling CNC machines, ensuring production efficiency, quality control, and addressing any operational issues that arise. The CNC Technician supports continuous improvement initiatives and plays a key role in maintaining high standards of production. This role will report indirectly to the Production Lead, with a direct reporting relationship to the Production Manager.
Essential Functions

1. Set up, operate, and maintain CNC machinery, including Mazaks, Doosans, INDEX, and Nakamuras, ensuring high precision and quality.
2. Troubleshoot CNC machine issues, identifying and resolving operational problems to minimize downtime.
3. Modify machine operations and make adjustments to programs to optimize performance and meet production specifications.
4. Inspect products during production using precision measurement tools, ensuring they meet tight tolerances and quality standards.
5. Document production data, machine performance, and material usage in ERP systems for accurate tracking and reporting.
6. Collaborate with maintenance teams and other departments to support continuous workflow improvements and process optimization.
7. Ensure compliance with all safety protocols, maintaining a clean and organized workspace.
8. Flex across departments to support production demands.
9. Any/all other duties as assigned.
Work Environment and Physical Demands
Working conditions are normal for a manufacturing environment. Work involves frequent lifting of materials and product up to 50 pounds and seldom lifting to 75lbs. Frequent use of hands and fingers to handle and/or adjust equipment. Moderate reaching, pushing, pulling, gripping, and grasping. Machinery operation requires the use of safety equipment to include but not limited to safety glasses, and steel toed work boots or shoes.
Position Type and Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position at 40 hours per week. Days and hours of work will be determined by management. Typical schedule is Monday through Friday eight (8) hours per day. Occasional overtime, evening and weekend work may be required to meet business demands.
Requirements
Required Education and Experience
1. Must be 18 years or older.
2. High School Diploma/GED equivalent or significant relevant work experience.
3. 1-3 years of experience operating CNC machinery.
4. Average level of computer literacy.
5. Capable of using measuring instruments, i.e. micrometer, calipers, gages, etc.
6. Capable of using all required hand tools.
7. Ability to read/write, perform basic arithmetic, and follow verbal and written instructions.
Preferred Education and Experience
1. Experience operating both single-axis and multi-axis CNC machinery, as well as single-turret and multi-turret systems, including Mazaks, Doosans, INDEX, and Nakamuras, is preferred
