Rockford Homes has an immediate need for a full-time CAD TECHNICIAN, reporting The ideal candidate will be creative and driven while developing and maintaining a
wide array of top quality residential single family and multifamily floor plans. The primary goal will be editing accurate lot specific drawings in an efficient and timely manner.
What you’ll do:
· Use AutoCAD to complete lot specific permit sets for field personnel.
· Building and zoning code compliance administration.
· Develop conceptual drawings for new floor plans.
· Coordinate calls from field construction regarding plan clarification.
· Review contract discrepancies as it relates to construction documents and permits.
· Special project coordination, permitting, and start pack oversight.
· Expedite construction document revisions for permitting.
· Enforce company policies.
· Assist in special projects as requested and perform additional duties as required.
· Conduct all business in a professional and ethical manner to serve customers and increase the goodwill and profit of the company.
What you’ll need:
· Minimum of three years in new home construction.
· Minimum of five years using AutoCAD.
· Excellent computer skills overall, including MS Office.
· Ability to interpret blueprints for all phases of construction.
· Creativity, flexibility, and strong interpersonal skills to work effectively with all levels of the organization.
· Bachelor’s degree preferred but not required.
· Self-motivation with a strong sense of urgency and “whatever it takes” mentality.
· Desire to continuously improve and produce results.
· High integrity and core values.
· Exceptional attention to detail with ability to multi-task and meet deadlines.
· Excellent written, verbal, interpersonal skills with high degree of team orientation.
