Rockford Homes is looking for a Land Acquisition Manager. This position will search for and acquire land necessary to meet company goals and projections. This position shall assist with the land department with land acquisition, due diligence, zoning, preliminary platting, preliminary engineering and budgeting of subdivision development.
Primary Job Responsibilities:
- Locate land suitable for acquisition and development by conducting the necessary market research. This will include daily/weekly travel within area of operation.
- Perform feasibility studies including but not limited to zoning/land use, sewer/water availability, adjacent land use, acceptability of government, marketing, and financial costs.
- Determine land values in the specific market by checking like property sales by means of public records, developers and other professional affiliates.
- Negotiate and contract land acquisition with land owners and industry affiliates via Letters of Intent and eventually contract with corporate approval.
- Assist with taking land in contract through land entitlement and government approvals.
- Assist with development of lots along with Land Development team.
- Report weekly on project status to Manager.
- Assist development team as needed.
- Review annual/quarterly sales budgets as projecting future lot needs.
- Conduct all business in a professional and ethical manner to serve customers and increase the goodwill and profit of the company
- Assist in special projects as requested and perform additional duties as required.
Job Requirements
- Related Functional Experience: Minimum of 3 years.
- Basic fundamental knowledge of civil, geotechnical engineering and surveying Land development/homebuilding construction experience.
- Manage political process and interface with governmental entities as needed.
- Communication, public speaking and leadership skills.
- Multi-tasking a requirement.
Job Details
- Full-Time 40 hours per week – Monday through Friday
- Travel required within Central and Southern Ohio
