Education:
High School diploma or equivalent;
Bilingual skills preferred;
Duties/Skills/Qualifications:
Ability to learn food preparation and follow operational procedures for efficient and effective food production and service;
Must be dependable and have good attendance/punctuality;
Ability to provide an environment conducive in protecting the health ane well-being of the school's children through high levels of food safety;
Must be in good physical condition and able to lift and/or more up to 45 pounds;
All other duties as assigned by the Food Service Director and/or Administrator;
Ability to relate and work effectively with parents, staff, students, and the public in a multicultural and multiracial community;
Knowledge and awareness of own cultural identity and how this influences behavior, and desire to learn about the cultural identity of others;
Ability to establish and nurture an environment that promotes cultural competence and equitable treatment of staff, students, and patrons of the District;
Ability to recognize that each person is a unique individual even as we celebrate their group cultural heritage;
Good attendance and punctuality;
