What are the responsibilities and job description for the Maintenance Technician position at Rockford Specialties?
GENERAL PURPOSE OF JOB:
Maintain production equipment to minimize and eliminate unplanned production down time.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Repair or maintain machines, equipment, and infrastructure equipment
- Repair or put in place plumbing, electrical, heating or air-conditioning systems.
- Able to setup production equipment
- Maintain preventive and predictive maintenance program
- Perform preventive maintenance tasks
- Maintain documentation or worked performed
- Refurbish older equipment
- Adhere to Company policies as described in Associate handbook.
- Follow all procedures as they pertain to this position.
- Follow all quality standards and procedures.
- Maintain a safe and orderly work environment.
- Other tasks as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS:
- At least 3 years experience with industrial machine maintenance and the ability to quickly troubleshoot issues with production equipment is strongly preferred.
- Experience with resistance welders and punch presses is a plus
- Experience in building maintenance is a plus
- High voltage, 3 Phase Electrical Experience is a plus
- Experience with hydraulics and pneumatics is a plus.
- Own tools is a plus
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
Associate’s degree (A.A.) or equivalent from two-year College or technical school; or six months to one-year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
