GENERAL PURPOSE OF JOB:
Coordinate production to provide a defect free product in accordance with delivery expectations and in a safe environment for the employees. Develop and implement strategies for continuous improvement across all manufacturing areas in safety, quality, and on-time delivery. Maintain a regular physical presence on the manufacturing floor to ensure that safety, quality and performance objectives are consistently and effectively implemented.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Develop plans for the maximum utilization of materials, machines, and employees.
- Evaluate, recommend and implement improvements in methods and processes to increase productivity and quality.
- Work with scheduling to establish production schedule
- Oversee Production Supervisors and provide regular feedback
- Oversee quality standards and processes for all aspects of production
- Collaborate with Human Resources on personnel matters, including hiring, training, disciplinary matters and terminations.
- Regularly monitor operations for compliance with safety standards
- Promote continuous improvement measures to increase productivity, quality and safety across the plant
- Assist Production Supervisors to ensure employees are properly trained
- Adhere to Company policies as described in Associate handbook.
- Follow all quality standards and procedures.
- Other tasks as assigned.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor’s degree (B.A., B.S.) from four-year College or university; or min 3 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
LANGUAGE SKILLS:
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or Associates of the organization. Bilingual preferred – English/Spanish.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
REASONING ABILITY:
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
