What are the responsibilities and job description for the ROBOTIC WELDING position at Rockford Systems?
Responsibilities
Ability to read and interpret blueprints to determine welding requirements
Ability to use weld fillet gauges to ensure proper weld size and interpret tolerances
Ability to weld parts in horizontal and vertical positions
Ability to weld from engineering drawings.
Ability to weld on a variety of metals
Experience with both MIG & TIG Welds
Requires lifting and carrying up to 50lbs.
Set up Robotic Welding stations by operating/retrieving various computer programs stored in the robotic welding equipment
Conducts dimensional checking of parts using equipment provided.
Conducts destructive and nondestructive testing of welds to customer specifications and AWS standards.
Performs minor troubleshooting and maintenance on robotic welder.
Inspect welded parts for correct weld length, size, defects and overall quality to customer specifications and AWS standards.
Provide assistance in resolving non-compliant processes.
Reviews the daily production log sheets
EDUCATION, TRAINING & EXPERIENCE
Must be able to work independently.
Minimum 2-3 years welding experience
Experience with MIG & TIG welding
Skilled in reading Blueprints
Working knowledge of weld processes and proper weld techniques,
Willing to train and provide course work for Weld technology as it relates to robotic programming.
You should be proficient in:
- Blueprint Reading
- Welding Setups for Production
Machines & technologies you'll use:
- MIG Welder
- Laser Welder
- Robotic Welder
- TIG Welder
Salary info:
$27 - $38 / hr
