Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Order Picker to join our dynamic team in a fast-paced distribution center. The ideal candidate will be responsible for accurately picking and preparing orders for shipment, ensuring that all products are handled safely and efficiently. This role requires a strong attention to detail, as well as the ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
Responsibilities
- Accurately pick and pack orders according to specified requirements.
- Operate various equipment including forklifts, reach trucks, and pallet jacks to move products safely.
- Utilize MRP systems and AS400 software for order fulfillment and inventory management.
- Conduct shipping and receiving tasks, ensuring all incoming and outgoing shipments are processed correctly.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area to promote safety and efficiency.
- Perform basic math calculations for inventory counts and order processing.
- Collaborate with team members to meet daily production goals.
Experience
- Previous experience in a distribution center or warehouse environment is preferred.
- Familiarity with order picking processes, shipping, and receiving operations is highly desirable.
- Proficiency in operating forklifts, reach trucks, and pallet jacks.
- Experience with MRP systems or AS400 software is a plus.
- Strong basic math skills for accurate order fulfillment.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
