Job Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Shipping and Receiving Clerk to join our dynamic team. Duties
- Receive incoming shipments, verifying contents against purchase orders to ensure accuracy.
- Utilize RF scanners to track inventory levels and manage stock effectively.
- Prepare outgoing shipments by packing items securely and labeling them appropriately.
- Load and unload trucks using forklifts and other material handling equipment.
- Perform order picking tasks to fulfill customer requests accurately.
- Maintain organized records of shipping and receiving activities in the AS400 system.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely processing of orders.
- Conduct regular inventory counts and assist in managing stock levels using MRP systems.
- Adhere to safety protocols while operating equipment and handling materials.
Skills
- Proficiency in using RF scanners for inventory management.
- Experience with shipping and receiving processes, including order picking.
- Familiarity with AS400 or similar inventory management systems.
- Ability to operate forklifts safely and efficiently.
- Strong basic math skills for accurate order processing and inventory tracking.
- Knowledge of load unloading procedures to ensure safe handling of goods.
- Excellent attention to detail with a commitment to maintaining accuracy in all tasks.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment while prioritizing safety.
