Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Painter/Laborer to join our team. This role involves a variety of painting tasks across different environments, including industrial and construction settings. The ideal candidate will possess a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
Duties
- Prepare surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, or priming as necessary.
- Apply paint, varnish, or other finishes using brushes, rollers, or spray equipment.
- Operate hand tools and power tools safely and efficiently.
- Handle materials and supplies required for painting projects.
- Assist in the assembly and disassembly of equipment as needed.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area to ensure safety and efficiency.
- Collaborate with team members to meet project deadlines and quality standards.
- Perform additional labor tasks as required in support of painting projects.
Qualifications
- Experience in industrial painting or construction painting is preferred.
- Familiarity with materials handling techniques.
- Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools related to painting tasks.
- Knowledge of forklift operation is a plus; certification preferred.
- Experience with crane operation is advantageous but not mandatory.
- Skills in auto body repair or auto painting are beneficial.
- Background in warehouse operations or machining is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment as well as independently.
