POSITION SUMMARY:

Assistant Women’s Volleyball Coach is responsible for the support of the operations of the women’s volleyball program, including, but not limited to, the recruitment of student-athletes, practice and contest planning, video analysis, social media maintenance, player skill development, fundraising, academic monitoring, game management, and other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

• Perform duties as assigned by the Head Coach.
• Field a competitive team that assists with enrollment goals.
• Plan, organize, direct, and assist with the operations for the women’s volleyball program.

• Recruit academically and athletically qualified student-athletes.
• Assist with the planning and implementation of instructional practices that maximize the talent and potential of student-athletes, while instilling values such as, sportsmanship, leadership, and personal wellness.
• Demonstrate the ability to relate to, and motivate, student-athletes and to work with a variety of University staff, alumni, and the outside community.
• Commitment to compliance and knowledge of NCAA and GLVC rules.
• Promote the mission of the Athletic Department and Rockhurst University
• Must have excellent leadership and communication skills

• Bachelor’s Degree
• 2 years coaching experience
