We are seeking a Family Practice Staff Nurse (LPN & RN’s) to join our team!
Rocking Horse Community Health Center (RHCHC) is a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) that provides healthcare services to the Clark and Madison County communities.
The organization is looking to add a Fulltime Family Practice Staff Nurse (LPN or RN) to our growing team. The ideal candidate will represent the care team and coordinate patient centered care. Assist Physicians and Nurse Practitioners with clinical and care coordination aspects of medical care for all RHCHC patients. You will work with a great team of clinical staff.

Position Title: Family Practice Staff Nurse- LPN or RN
Primary Service Center: London, Ohio
FLSA Status: Non-Exempt – Hourly Position
Work Hours: Full-time, work 36 hours – paid for 40
Education Requirements:
Associates Degree (AA) or equivalent from a Two (2) year college or Technical School
Must be licensed in the State of Ohio
CPR certification is required – but can be obtained by RHCHC
Qualifications
Qualifications: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. 1. Education and/or Experience: Associates Degree (A.A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school.
2. Certificates, Licenses, Registrations: Must have Licensed Practical Nurse or Registered Nurse licensure in the state of Ohio. CPR certification required. Applicable life support training (PALS/ACLS) preferred. Current driver’s license and an acceptable driving record required. An individual who poses a direct threat to the health and safety of himself/herself or others in the workplace will be deemed not qualified for this position.
3. Language Skills: Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures or government regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers and the general public.
4. Mathematical Skills: Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
5. Reasoning Ability: Ability to solve problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form.
6. Computer skills: To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Database software.
7. Other Skills and Abilities: The duties of this position are performed within the mission, vision, and values as defined by the Board of Directors. Must demonstrate an understanding of the role of Federally Qualified Health Centers as a safety net for all persons without regard for their ability to pay for services; appreciate patient-centered care in a medical home; and be committed to quality, comprehensive services through a team approach. Excellent interpersonal communication and organizational skills are also necessary.
8. Confidentiality: Staff is required to understand the privacy policies and procedures. Patient Health Information (PHI) is confidential, only the minimal amount of PHI necessary to accomplish the internal purpose is to be shared or released by staff.
9. Physical Demands: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; use hands to handle or feel, and talk and hear. The employee is frequently required to walk. The employee is occasionally required to sit; reach with hands, arms, and smell. The employee must occasionally lift and or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
10. Work Environment: The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. The position involves regular interaction with patients and other members of the general public. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. Regular exposure to blood, body fluids, or tissues, may occur. Schedule is dependent upon organization and patient needs, and includes evenings and weekends. May be sent home if demand is low, or be requested to work overtime when demand is high.
