Rocking V Cafe is gearing up for the 2025 season and we are looking for self-motivated and energetic candidates.
Our season kicks off February 14th and extends through November. The anticipated start date is March (or earlier). This is a part- or full-time seasonal position, with the possibility of extending.

Rocking V Cafe is a small restaurant and popular dining destination in Kanab, UT. We are fast-paced, and our goal is to provide excellent food and service to our guests, ranging from locals of southern Utah to national and international tourists in an art-filled mercantile building from 1892.

Job Responsibilities:
- Serves guests with food and beverages in a positive and friendly manner.
- Provides information to help food and beverage selections.
- Presents ordered choices in a prompt and efficient manner.
- Maintains dining ambiance with an enthusiastic attitude.
- Prepares room for dining by clothing tables and setting decorations, condiments, candles, napkins, service plates, and utensils.
- Protects establishment and patrons by adhering to sanitation, safety, and alcohol beverage control policies.
- Assist patrons in selecting food and beverages by suggesting courses, explaining the chef’s specialties, identifying appropriate beverage pairings, and answering food preparation questions.
- Submit orders to bar and kitchen by recording patrons’ choices and identifying patrons’ special dietary needs and special requests.
- Keeps kitchen staff informed by noting timing of meal progression.
- Serves orders by picking up and delivering patrons’ choices from bar and kitchen and delivering accompaniments and condiments from service bars.
- Responds to additional patron requirements by inquiring of needs and observing dining process.
- Maintains table setting by removing courses as completed, replenishing utensils, refilling water glasses, and being alert to patron spills or other special needs.
- Concludes dining experience by acknowledging the choice of restaurant and inviting patrons to return.
- Obtains revenues by totaling charges, issuing bills, accepting payments, delivering bills and payments to host, and returning change or credit card and signature slip to patrons.
- Performs inventory checks and completes food storage logs.
- Closes the dining facility by cleaning chairs and tables, sweeping and vacuuming floors, and removing trash from the facility.
- Complete all the daily assigned tasks at the beginning and end of each shift
- Updates job knowledge by participating in staff training opportunities.
- Enhances organization reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests.
- Demonstrate positive communication, attitude and conflict resolution.
- Displays respect to fellow team members and leadership.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and dining areas, including workstations and equipment.
- Collaborate with other team members to ensure smooth operations

Pay: $18.00 - $35.00 per hour
