SCOPE OF POSITION:
The Clinical Educator directs a comprehensive education program for all staff based on evidence-based practices while maintaining all aspects of staff improvement initiatives/development activities through planning, coordinating, implementing, evaluating, and monitoring community education needs. We are committed to providing preventative and restorative care to all residents and clients here at Rockingham County. We want our residents to feel safe, comfortable, and supported in all aspects of their lives to include not only physical, but also emotional, social, spiritual, environmental, and intellectual well-being. The Clinical Educator partners with the Senior Director of Long Term Care, Director of Nursing, Executive Director of Assisted Living, and Infection Preventionist to develop and assess staff education needs. This is achieved through identifying essential competencies, collecting/processing/analyzing data to determine if staff are properly educated, developing an educational plan that includes a variety of instructional settings/techniques/methods (including guest speakers, webinars, hands-on assessments, etc.), managing required annual training, and ensuring all educational materials are meeting the current clinical standards of practice in aging services. Further, the Clinical Educator develops and manages staff preceptor/mentor programs for new hires, actively participates in the Quality Assurance Performance Improvement Committee (QAPI), participates in workshops/job related conferences, and serves as a resource person for nursing staff.

- Must possess and maintain a current, valid, unencumbered New Hampshire RN license.
- Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
- Two (2) years Long Term Care (or equivalent) experience preferred.
- Five (5) or more years of experience in clinical leadership, training, education and/or organizational development preferred.
- An equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.
- Certified CPR, AED, and Basic First Aid Instructor.
