REPORTS TO :
CAREER AND TECHNICAL EDUCATION DIRECTOR
PURPOSE :
The Career Development Facilitator (CDC) works collaboratively with administrators, student services personnel, teachers, parents, business / industry, postsecondary institutions, military, community organizations and other stakeholders to ensure the delivery of career development services for students. The CDF responsibilities incorporate the North Carolina Essential Standards, National Career Development Guidelines, and the National Model for School Counseling Programs and Future-Ready Students for the 21st Century.
TERMS : 11 Month
QUALIFICATIONS :
Bachelor's degree or a Master's Degree in School Counseling
RELATED WORK EXPERIENCE :
5 Years of related work experience within the past 8 years in the following areas :
- Career development work experience in business, industry or labor
- Coordinator of work-based learning (job shadowing, internships, cooperative education or apprenticeships
- Business and industry engagement in positions such as business development director
- Career counselor or career development specialist
REQUIREMENTS :
NCDPI Facilitating Career Development (FCD) Course OR NC Works Training Center Facilitating Career Development (FCD) Course and NC DPI New CDC Induction
RESPONSIBILITIES :
