QUALIFICATIONS :
- Two years of college or technical school OR Three to five years of secretarial experience OR an equivalent combination of training / experience with data entry
- Working knowledge of personal computers and applications related to spreadsheets, word processing, and database management
- Human Resources experience in a school environment is preferred
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT :
12 Month Position, Pay Grade 65, Regular State Benefits
SUMMARY :
Specialists provide skilled administrative support to the District's Human Resources (HR) programs and are responsible for confidential and highly complex duties. The scope of responsibility is significant and the job function has considerable impact within and outside of the department. HR Specialists ensure compliance with a wide variety of personnel policies and procedures, laws, board policies, and administrative practices; and participate in the design, implementation, monitoring, and maintenance of processes, procedures and systems. This position requires use of sound judgment in dealing with staff and the ability to initiate and manage projects independently.
