Store Associate

Overview
We are seeking a motivated and customer-oriented Retail Sales Associate to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be the face of our store, providing exceptional service to our customers while assisting them with their shopping needs. Your ability to communicate effectively and maintain a positive attitude will be key to creating a welcoming environment that encourages repeat business.

Duties

• Engage with customers to understand their needs and provide tailored product recommendations.
• Operate the Point of Sale (POS) system efficiently for processing transactions.
• Handle cash transactions accurately, ensuring proper cash handling procedures are followed.
• Maintain a clean and organized sales floor, ensuring products are well-stocked and displayed attractively.
• Assist in supervising junior staff members, providing guidance and support as needed.
• Address customer inquiries and resolve any issues promptly, demonstrating excellent customer service skills.
• Utilize basic math skills for transaction processing and inventory management.
• Uphold phone etiquette when answering customer calls or inquiries regarding products and services.

Experience

• Previous experience in retail sales or grocery store environments is preferred but not mandatory.
• Strong communication skills are essential for effective interaction with customers and team members.
• Familiarity with cash handling practices and POS systems is advantageous.
• A background in supervising or mentoring staff is a plus, showcasing leadership abilities within a retail setting.
• Basic math proficiency is required for handling transactions and inventory tasks.
