Rockland Psychiatric Center (RPC), an Office of Mental Health (OMH) Joint Commission accredited facility, is looking to hire an experienced human resource professional to join their Human Resource Team as a Human Resources Specialist 1. This position is an in-office opportunity.
As a Human Resources Specialist 1, you will be part of a Human Resources Team that is responsible for various State personnel activities to support the development and maintenance of the workforce at Rockland Psychiatric Center, including:
· Screening applicants to ensure they meet the minimum qualifications for a position.
· Interviewing candidates for vacant positions, conducting background checks, and onboarding new employees.
· Reviewing and investigating disciplinary and grievance cases.
· Advising supervisors and employees on applicable laws, rules, and negotiated agreements that impact hiring, promotions, terminations, and salaries of employees.
· Obtaining background data on position classification and staffing needs.
· Ensuring employee personnel files are accurate and up to date.

RPC provides a full range of treatment services to adults 18 years and older with serious mental illness living in Rockland, Westchester, Orange, Sullivan, Putnam, Dutchess, and Ulster counties as well as the Greater NYC Region. In addition to RPC’s inpatient facility, they provide a network of outpatient services including clinics, mobile mental health teams, Assertive Community Treatment (ACT) Teams, and residential programs. Minimum Qualifications:
· A bachelor's degree and two years of professional human resources experience.

Pay: $65,164.00 - $80,860.00 per year
