Senior Sourcing Manager

Join our dynamic Strategic Sourcing team as Sourcing Manager for the nonwovens category. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and managing Rockline's global supply strategy and for managing all aspects of supplier relationships for assigned nonwoven category. Objectives include obtaining the best net value by evaluating the global market and optimizing the supply chain.

Functions of the Senior Sourcing Manager include :

• Collaborate with other departments to transition sourcing processes from tactical to strategic.
• Support internal and external customers in the development of commercial terms with suppliers, solve problems, optimize pricing matrix and supply chains, resolve raw material quality issues, and complete and communicate Supplier Performance Reviews.
• Implement Strategic Sourcing best practices and processes into the sourcing process to drive value.
• Develop complex, dynamic, sophisticated, comprehensive, and innovative category strategies; align category strategy with business unit strategy to focus on delivering business needs; and communicate an executive summary of the category strategy to business unit owners & executives.
• Identify global strategic and non-strategic suppliers who deliver best net value, product development, innovation, and competitiveness requirements. Identify game-changing technology and communicate to stakeholders.
• Develop and manage the supplier base, lead suppliers in cost negotiations, cost reduction, and cost containment discussions, risk mitigation, and value improvement for best net value. Perform commodity analysis on price and cost, supplier comparison, market, and industry trends.
• Negotiate terms and conditions, performance specifications, acceptance criteria, liquidated damages, payment terms, lead times, etc., and implement appropriate contracts and / or purchase order terms of sale with suppliers where applicable.
• Forge key strategic relationships with strategic suppliers and industry leaders, develop those relationships, and ensure long-term mutually beneficial objectives while providing the business with access to supplier innovation and exclusivity.
• Develop , coordinate , and negotiate long-term supply strategies, supply agreements, and contracts.
• Build industry, product, and supply base knowledge, including key cost drivers. Become an expert on the marketplace, supply sources, and competition.
• Perform effective project management by leading and influencing sourcing projects.
• Convert requisitions to purchase orders for large and / or complex purchases.
• Supervise junior Global Sourcing associates, monitor and guide their performance and development.
