Title : Logistics Team Lead

  • Shift : Rotating 3rd Shift (C / D) ;
  • Rotating 2-2-3 Schedule

Compensation : Grade 9

  • This position is part of the annual review system.
  • FLSA : Non-Exempt
  • Essential Accountabilities :

  • Safety : Supporting a zero-rating facility. Filling out incident reports and doing incident investigations.
  • Quality : Ensuring that we are providing customers with a quality product and limiting the amount of product damage that is within their control through the process improvements and accountability. Always keep Vision Park and offsite warehousing in an audit-ready state.
  • Productivity : Mine and analyze LMS data for performance and process-related gaps. Help generate solutions to address these gaps.
  • Customer Service : Make sure inventory is moved to the appropriate warehouse in a timely fashion for orders, as well as making sure that inbound / transfer trailers are unloaded in a timely fashion for orders.
  • Staffing needs : Working with the Warehouse Asset Lead Team and Warehouse Inventory Team to investigate inventory discrepancies and coach associates on correct processes if the discrepancy was caused by human error.
  • Communication : Clear and timely communication to direct reports, management, internal customers, and all functional departments within WPLW, Operations and Supply Chain.
  • All other duties assigned by management, including, but not limited to forklift work and other support duties when needed.

  • Contribute to a cooperative working effort by demonstrating a willingness to perform other job-related work, as needed or requested.
  • The Team Leads are accountable for the metrics that are tied to their team's scorecard.
  • Responsible for but not limited to 5-23 associates.
  • Requirements :

  • Minimum of 2 years warehousing experience
  • A solid understanding of how Supply Chain flows through a business
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required
  • Associate degree or higher preferred (or pursuing)
  • Strong leadership, verbal, written, analytical, mathematical, reasoning, and interpersonal skills.
  • Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, and SPC / SQC tools and techniques
  • A working knowledge of OSHA, GMP, and FDA regulations and guidelines
  • Experience with Self Directed and / or High-Performance Work teams.
  • Proficiency with PCs, including the Microsoft Office family of products, and JD Edwards
  • Understands preventative and operator basic care maintenance and their applications.
  • Flexibility in schedule
  • Ability to organize, prioritize, and multi-task in a high paced working environment.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to work in a team environment with a diverse group of personalities.
  • Knowledge of packaging and paper converting equipment is a plus.
  • Good attendance record
  • Warehouse Leads are the 1st line of supervision. They are expected to be on the floor for their entire shift, unless office support is needed when our normal Office Support is not working. When not executing leadership tasks, they are expected to do forklift-related work (picking, loading, unloading and receiving). This is crucial in driving accountability and expectations by showing associates that you are present and available. Also, this helps the Team Lead understand the workflow and current workload better.

    This position is designated as Safety-Sensitive (A safety-sensitive position is one in which the associate’s inability or impaired ability to perform their job-related tasks could result in a direct threat to the associate’s safety or the safety of others).

    Product Security Sensitive – As a product sourcing facility our customers require Rockline to possess security standards and procedures to guard against the introduction of unmanifested cargo, such as illegal drugs, explosives, weapons and people into outbound shipments. This position has contact or influence over these “outbound” shipments and is considered Product Security Sensitive.

    FSLA Status : Non-Exempt.
