What are the responsibilities and job description for the Fleet Mechanic position at Rockstar Mechanics?
We are seeking an experienced Bus Mechanic to join our team in Middletown, CT. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing a fleet of 15 Diesel Buses and 15 Gas E350 Vehicles. This is a day shift position, Monday to Friday from 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM, offering an excellent work-life balance with no on-call duties and some overtime available.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on diesel buses and gas vehicles.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical issues independently.
- Ensure vehicles meet all safety and operational standards.
- Utilize air brake system knowledge for effective repairs (experience preferred).
- Maintain accurate records of all maintenance and repair work.
- Collaborate with team members and utilize provided support when necessary.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Diesel Mechanic.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Familiarity with air brake systems is a plus.
- Class B CDL is advantageous; assistance is available for obtaining if necessary.
- Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills.
