We're looking for an experienced Heavy Equipment Mechanic to join our team in Greensboro, NC. In this role, you will be responsible for diagnosing and repairing a variety of construction machinery and components, both in the shop and the field. Key Responsibilities :
- Repair and maintain construction equipment, including components and assemblies.
- Develop and execute repair plans, determine necessary parts, materials, and tools.
- Perform repairs safely, ensuring quality assurance testing on systems and machines.
- Complete all required documentation, including parts ordering, special tooling usage, and daily service reports.
- Communicate progress on repairs with supervisors and update work orders as needed.
- Handle parts / materials retrieval through the company's parts ordering system.
- Maintain and care for tools and equipment, including major shop tools (e.g., air compressors, cleaning tanks, overhead cranes).
- Utilize company vehicles, service trucks, and fuel cards properly.
- Keep work areas and service vehicles safe, clean, and organized.
- Follow all company policies, procedures, and safety guidelines.
- Perform other tasks as requested by the manager.
