This position is 8 hours per day 40 hours per week and 12 month position with standard benefits.
The scheduled work hours for this position are 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM
The hourly wage for this positon is $21.69 per hour with standard benefits.
The start date is as early as April 14, 2025.

Manages and performs accounting tasks such as bank reconciliation, journal entries, payroll reconciliation, budget adjustments, fixed asset and grant reconciliation.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Review and reconcile federal and state grants
- Reconcile bank accounts on a monthly basis and report and resolve discrepancies.
- Reviews and edits all online requisitions for purchase orders up to $2,500 with attention to budget code balances and budget coding
- Prepare and/or review journal entries and budget adjustments.
- Assist in preparation of month-end reports, financial training, and reports to school administrators and Board of Education.
- Review and provide assistance as needed in the processing of payroll
- Responsible for the reconciliation of fixed assets
- Assist with cash flow projections
- Review and reconciliation of District’s liability insurance claims
- Maintain the financial accounting records for the self-funded insurance program
- Other assignments or projects as needed.
ESSENTIAL SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
- Knowledge of financial procedures and office routines.
- Ability to reconcile accounting records and general ledger accounts.
- Ability to handle detailed accounting tasks without error.
- Ability to prepare written reports when requested.
- Ability to supervise activities as needed.
BASIC REQUIREMENTS:
- College degree with an emphasis on accounting, finance, and/or business education.
- Three to five years’ relevant accounting job experience preferred.
- Computer competency including experience with BPlus or similar accounting software.
- Skill in communication with employees and building level administrators.
- Ability to plan and execute tasks in a timely manner without missing key deadlines.
- Organizational skills to support essential functions of the position.
- Ability to establish and maintain productive working relationships with fellow employees and school personnel.
