Job Summary
This position will work at both Rockwood campuses (Rockwood South Hill and Rockwood at Whitworth) and is responsible for assisting the Director of Development in performing a wide range of duties and tasks supporting the work of the Rockwood Residents’ Foundation. Duties include a significant amount of clerical work and administrative tasks. The successful candidate will also represent the Foundation at events and help coordinate Foundation activities primarily at Rockwood South Hill but may include travel to both campuses at discretion of Director of Development.
Job Functions:
· Organize materials for Board and Committee meetings and create informational packets for each Board member, committee member and executive leadership team member attending the meeting.
· Schedule and reconfirm appointments for the Director of Development, as well as assist in maintaining the Director’s calendar.
· Assist maintaining and updating Board and Committee rosters and calendar of meetings/events.
· Assist in tracking donations, processing checks, and writing acknowledgement letters to send weekly.
· Responsible for collecting RSVP’s and helping to coordinate event details.
· Assist in scholarship and employee assistance requests, letters, and check requests.
· Draft donor letters in connection with the Rockwood South Hill donor tree.
· Draft, finalize, and mail new resident welcome letters/packets.
· On occasion design invitations and marketing materials.
· Organizing electronic and paper files.
· Contribute content to Rockwood’s newsletters at each campus, specifically memorial donations.
· Familiar with the Mail Merges in Microsoft Word
· Professionally interact with residents on a daily basis, while respectfully representing the Foundation.
· Maintain confidentiality of all resident and employee information.
· Provide cards and reminders for donor recognition.
· Maintain work operations by following policies and procedures.
· Adheres to all professional standards, policy and procedures; federal, state and local requirements.
· Attends all necessary meetings as assigned.
· Work cooperatively with supervisors and staff and maintain a good working relationship with all staff.
· Upholds the RRC Values in all interactions.
· Typically, Monday – Friday 8am – 4:30pm, evenings and weekends as requested by the Director.
· Perform all other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
· (Preferred) Associate’s degree (A.A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school
· (Preferred) clerical and administrative experience
· (Preferred) two years’ experience in a professional office setting
· Multi-tasking skills
· Effective oral, written, communication and reading skills
· Proven ability to work with multi-generational groups and individuals
· Outstanding organizational, time-management, and problem-solving skills
· Excellent attention to detail

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $21.00 - $23.50 per hour
