We are seeking a skilled and experienced Database Administrator (DBA) to join our team in North Charleston, SC.
Headline: Senior Database Administrator (Oracle/SQL) - Top Secret Clearance Required
Summary: Seeking an experienced and technically proficient Database Administrator to manage and maintain enterprise-level Oracle and/or SQL databases. This position requires a strong foundation in database administration, performance tuning, and security best practices.
Responsibilities:
Provide comprehensive database administration, including installation, configuration, patching, and upgrades.
Implement robust database security protocols, including access controls and encryption.
Perform regular backups, restores, and data migration activities.
Monitor and optimize database performance through query optimization and structural enhancements.
Troubleshoot complex database issues and provide timely resolutions.
Maintain detailed documentation of database configurations and procedures.
Requirements:
Active Top Secret Clearance (start immediately).
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
3-5 years of hands-on experience as a Database Administrator.
Extensive experience with SQL and either Oracle (preferred) or SQL Server.
Proven ability in database backup/recovery and performance tuning.
Strong knowledge of database security best practices.
Desired Skills: Oracle RAC/ASM/Data Guard, PL/SQL, cloud database experience, NoSQL experience, automation tools.
