Rockwoods is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Financial Analyst Consultant for our client in Germantown, MD.
Important: This position requires US Citizenship and the ability to obtain a security clearance. You must reside in the US to be considered.
Job Summary:
As a Financial Analyst Consultant, you will serve as a trusted advisor, providing expert financial insights and actionable strategies to drive data-driven decision-making and support organizational growth. You will conduct thorough financial analysis, strategic planning, and risk assessment to enhance financial performance. Key Responsibilities:
- Financial Analysis: Analyze financial statements (income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements) to provide insightful analysis and identify areas for improvement.
- Monthly Close Support: Assist with the monthly closing process, including variance analysis and preparing comprehensive reporting packages.
- Financial Modeling & Forecasting: Develop and maintain sophisticated financial models to forecast future performance and evaluate various scenarios.
- Risk Assessment: Identify and evaluate financial risks (market, credit, operational) to protect assets and ensure compliance.
- KPI Development & Reporting: Define, track, and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) to optimize operational efficiency and strategic execution.
- Strategic Financial Planning: Collaborate with stakeholders to develop and implement financial plans aligned with organizational goals.
- Reporting & Presentation: Prepare clear and concise financial reports and presentations for leadership, including the CFO, delivering actionable insights.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field (required). Master's degree or MBA in Finance (preferred).
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in finance or equivalent education and experience.
- Citizenship: US Citizenship required.
- Clearance: Must be eligible to obtain a security clearance.
- Technical Expertise:
- Strong foundation in financial analysis, business modeling, and risk management.
- Proficiency in financial planning and data interpretation.
- Skills:
- Advanced analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proven ability to prepare and deliver impactful reports and presentations for executive stakeholders.
