Summary
We are seeking a creative, analytical, and customer-focused Email Copywriter and Content Analyst to join our performance marketing team. In this role, you will be the voice behind our email, SMS, and app notification campaigns, driving new customer acquisition, enhancing engagement, and maximizing retention. You will craft compelling, compliant, and conversion-driven messaging that simplifies complex financial products and builds trust with our users. From onboarding new customers to cross-selling financial solutions, you will guide people on their financial journeys through clear, personalized communication.
Essential Functions

- Create engaging, compliant, and persuasive copy for emails, SMS, and push notifications tailored to financial services audiences.
- Craft compelling headlines and captivating narratives to capture the attention of our target audience and drive engagement.
- Collaborate with the marketing team to develop content strategies, identify content gaps, and contribute innovative ideas for content creation.
- Develop and manage multi-touch lifecycle campaigns, including new customer onboarding, product education, cross-sell/upsell, and win-back flows.
- Work closely with Brand Marketing, Product Marketing, and Line of Business (Consumer Banking and Mortgages) to ensure messaging is accurate, aligned with regulatory standards, and supports business goals.
- Analyze campaign performance (open rates, CTR, conversion, retention) and use insights to optimize copy, segmentation, and timing.
- Implement A/B testing on subject lines, calls-to-action, personalization, and content formats to continually improve engagement and conversion.
- Collaborate with designers and CRM specialists to launch high-impact, on-brand campaigns.
- Own the email and messaging calendar, coordinating with cross-functional teams to support key product launches, promotions, and initiatives.
- Use segmentation strategies to deliver personalized messaging based on user behavior, product usage, and financial goals.
- Stay updated with industry best practices and emerging trends in content marketing, AI, ML, and related technologies.

Education and Experience
Equivalent combination of education and experience is considered.
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, Communications, or related field.
- 4-8 years of experience in email marketing or content strategy, ideally within B2C fintech, financial services, or regulated industries.
- A portfolio of high-converting email/SMS/app notification copy.
- Ability to distill complex financial topics into clear, approachable messaging for everyday consumers.
- Strong understanding of email marketing tools and platforms (Salesforce, Adobe and Visa).
- Data-driven mindset with the ability to translate metrics into actionable insights.
- Experience with drip campaigns, automated flows, segmentation, and personalization techniques.
- Familiarity with compliance requirements (e.g., FINRA, CFPB, CAN-SPAM, GDPR) in financial communications.
- Excellent grammar, attention to detail, and consistency in tone and voice.
- Experience in personal finance, banking, insurance, credit, or investing.
- Understanding of customer retention, loyalty, and referral programs.
- Basic HTML knowledge for email formatting.
- Experience with customer research or A/B testing platforms.
