ROCKWOOL is seeing a LEAN/Operational Excellence professional based in our Ranson, WV location to join our Group ROCKWOOL Operational Excellence Team. This position will support our North American manufacturing facilities and requires travel throughout Canada and the U.S., roughly 90 days/annually with occasional overseas travel.

What You Will Be Doing
You will get a versatile role and work in teams of 2-3. From the initial data analysis stage, we collaborate closely with our colleagues in the factories to gain a thorough understanding of the potential for improvement. We then test and implement sustainable solutions based on ROCKWOOL best practices and new innovation.
You have strong communication and influencing skills, allowing you to collaborate with colleagues at different levels. Moreover, you have strong analytical and problem-solving skills, you thrive at the shop floor as well as with senior management and you naturally push for optimizations wherever possible. Also, you have the flexibility to travel up to 90 days a year within US and Canada. You also bring :

What You Will Be Doing

- Implementing a comprehensive Product System tailored to ROCKWOOL's production processes and business goals.
- Plan and conduct analyses of our factory operations to identify potential improvements in productivity, output, and quality.
- Lead and facilitate improvement projects and initiatives to identify and eliminate waste, improve processes, and enhance operational efficiency.
- Measure factory maturity to ensure consistent application across all production units and define plans for further development.
- Provide training and coaching on Lean principles and methodologies to employees at all levels within the organization.
- Monitor and report on the progress of initiatives, ensuring that goals and targets are met.
- Support the development and strengthening of the continuous improvement culture within the organization.
- Share best practices and successful initiatives across all production units to drive consistency and collaboration.
- Introduce ROCKWOOL shop floor disciplines for Green field factories and new production lines

- A master of science within industrial engineering or business, strongly preferred
- 3-4 years of experience in a Continuous Improvement or Lean role with a strong focus on Lean methodologies and Operational Excellence a MUST
- Proven experience in developing and implementing Lean systems within a manufacturing environment.
- Proficient in Lean tools such as value stream mapping, Structured Problem Solving and Toyota Kata
- Analytical and structured way of working
- Demonstrated coaching and facilitation skills, allowing you to work at all levels of the organization
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
