Job Title: Supply Chain Planner
Location: Chicago, IL (On-site)
Salary: $85,000 - $95,000 per year
Role Overview:
We are seeking a Supply Chain Planner to join our Planning and Purchasing team. The role focuses on optimizing inventory levels, ensuring smooth production and material flow, and maintaining data integrity in our ERP-SAP system.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage production and purchase orders to ensure efficient operations.
Maintain SAP system parameters to control inventory and material flow.
Meet or exceed on-time shipment (OTS) targets.
Act as the primary point of contact between customer service and operations.
Analyze and manage inventory to minimize stock while meeting customer demands.
Proactively manage inventory to prevent shortages and handle slow-moving materials.
Collaborate with various departments, including production and purchasing, to ensure efficient planning.
Update and maintain planning procedures and master data.
Prepare inventory, production, and sales reports.
Continuously improve planning processes and performance.
What You Bring:
3-5 years of experience in production planning or scheduling.
Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
SAP and MRP experience required.
Strong organizational and communication skills.
Problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
APICS or similar certification.
Experience with Bill of Materials (BOM) and production planning techniques.
