What are the responsibilities and job description for the Part Time Elementary Library Assistant K5-5th grade position at Rocky Bayou Christian School?
Part-time, Starting as soon as possible – June 4, 2025; Pay rate is hourly based on experience. The work schedule is 25 hours per week within the school day hours with some flexibility.
Job Description: The Library Assistant will be responsible for monitoring students in the library, cataloging and processing library material, and aiding the media specialist in various other tasks. The library assistant will help students learn attitudes, skills, and subject matter that will contribute to their development as mature, able, and responsible Christian men and women to the praise and glory of God. Integrate biblical principles and the Christian philosophy of education throughout.
Job Requirements:
· High school degree or GED equivalent required.
· Experience with school-aged children and young adults is required.
· Must complete the Philosophy of Christian Education course provided by RBCS.
· Demonstrated proficiency in computer programs and working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, and database software.
· Ability to use technology for cataloging, digital development, and setup of college webinars/course instruction videos.
Additional Requirements:
· Must be member at a local church which has fundamental beliefs in agreement with historic Christian orthodoxy.
· Must enroll their children in Rocky Bayou Christian School or approved Christian venue.
· Agree with the school’s Statement of Faith and Christian philosophy of education.
· Demonstrate the character qualities of enthusiasm, courtesy, flexibility, integrity, gratitude, kindness, self-control, perseverance, and punctuality.
