School Group Volunteer – Living History & Crafts

Rocky Mount State Historic Site is seeking enthusiastic volunteers to assist with school group visits, living history programs, and hands-on craft activities. If you enjoy working with children, storytelling, and interactive history, this is a great opportunity to make an impact!

Volunteer Responsibilities
- Assist with living history programs, craft demonstrations, and hands-on activities for school groups.
- Engage with students and visitors, helping them participate in activities like candle dipping, quill pen writing, 18th-century games, and more.
- Support Rocky Mount staff with set-up, clean-up, and material preparation for educational programs.
- Wear historic clothing (provided if needed) for immersive storytelling (optional but encouraged).
- Ensure a fun, safe, and engaging experience for students.
